tab's name question... (beginner)

Hi and happy new year to you,

I installed Ion3 a couple of days ago and I plan to
write a monitor for the status bar to be warned when a
tab's name changes (like when your gmail account is
open in firefox and you receive an incomming event; or
when an xterm's title is updated).

Unfortunately, I don't know how to get those names ! 
print(WClientWin.name(_)) only returns "WFrame<n>" and
such. 
xprop WM_NAME gives me what I want but I don't know
where to find it using Lua code.

Could someone help me ?
