With reference my previous problems with rubber and building ion's doc:

I just have rebuilt rubber [via: darcs get
http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~beffara/darcs/rubber/, not from some source
tarball], and the problems seem to be gone--or, in any case, I can rebuild
ion's doc. (It would also have been the first time I could _not_ have ... to
rebuild the doc I mean.) :,(
