is it possible to restrict the mouse to the current window?

when playing the "wesnoth" game in it's windowed mode, i need to use mouse to scroll the game's screen, however when the mouse is at the edge of the screen, it will be moved out of the screen instead of scroll the game's screen. how to solve the problem? I have found that if i play the game in full screen mode, it is ok -- "Nothing for nothing."
