Yeah, I've tried putting a "sleep 5" before "ion3" in my .xinitrc, but
that didn't fix things.

I'm attaching my ~/.xinitrc and my ~/.ion3/cfg_ion.lua. From the latter,
I'm removing lines matching /^ *--/ and /^$/ for brevity's sake, hope
it's OK.
