Nice, that you have such a high opinion of us ! Messing around with OB's source code is way too hard, for me at least. I'm more focussing on smaller projects, and menu scripts or pipemenus. But where do you see any hacks here ? IMHO, hacks are used in the program code, and this here is just about a special way, using a program. And it is common practice, to use OB with several of these little helper tools, like Wmctrl, Xdotool and others.
