I'll be submitting a reasonably clean patch for tilda (lightweight/sufficiently configurable terminal) tomorrow once I've had a chance smooth out a couple more rough edges in it. It'll let you do this very straightforwardly. It's easy to build as well. The focus works fine, for me anyway. In any case, *that* is easily solvable with xdotool/wmctrl. cheers, -p On Sun, Mar 1, 2015 at 10:58 AM, Lukasz Grabowski <[email protected]> wrote: > 2015-03-01 11:31 GMT+00:00 Paul G <[email protected]>: > > To save the other 0.2 people who might try to do this in future several > > hours/days of their lives, I'll summarize: don't bother with a kludge > and do > > it properly, namely by patching whatever it is you're trying to > desktopify. > > I don't have anything of substance to say in this thread, but I spent > some hours/days of my live trying to do it (via xdotool/wmctrl) some > months ago, and I gave up in the end.
