Hi: Problem solved.

I found this: https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=4637.0 which
pretty much described my problem and was able to sort it by editing
the ~/.config/openbox/c.xml file and changing

<mousebind button="S-Left" action="Drag"> to
<mousebind button="W-Left" action="Drag">
