So probably not openbox related, but I > wonder if anyone here knows why this is happening and how to fix it. > _______________________________________________ > openbox mailing list > [email protected] > http://icculus.org/mailman/listinfo/openbox which firefox version? i guess both ubuntu and arch might be using a pretty recent version? are you sure you have checked the notification settings in the preferences' content tab? although what you show in the screenshot should not be affected by that. that looks like an html/css pop-up to me. system notifications look different; if you use thunderbird, you should get one when there's new mail. maybe hardware acceleration then. in the advanced tab, try checking/unchecking it, restart ff each time, see what it does. have you looked at firefox' optional dependencies? but i'll say it again, what you showed us in the screenshot issue doe not look like libnotify has anything to do with it. are you getting black rectangles instead of the popups, or just nothing? have you tried left/right-clicking? _______________________________________________ openbox mailing list [email protected] http://icculus.org/mailman/listinfo/openbox
