A problem with full screen video

That's not why I have two screens, but I've been using it kind of like 
a TV lately. Please look at this screenshot of ARandR, it is an accurate 
representation of my setup:

VGA1 is usually turned off. I always use HDMI2.

I open, say, YouTube in a browser tab. I want to leave it running while 
I do other things. So I detach that tab and drag it into VGA1, and set 
it to full screen.

That works fine until I click anything on the HDMI2 screen. Then the 
video snaps out of full screen.

I also tried two different browsers, but it didn't help. I still can't have 
the video run in full screen as soon as I click something elsewhere.

Is there any fix or workaround for that?
