Dear All,

  Just in case you don't know about them, in ratpoison a nice way to
shunt standard input to the screen is using aosd_cat or osd_cat.  For
the system data type stuff, conky is nice -- especially with one of the
millions of .conkyrc files you can find on the internet already written.
