Hi, While I enjoy diving into ratpoison usage recently, I also found some potential issues, which I don't know if others have situations alike. 1. multibyte characters rendered as gargabe in command :windows. It appears that ratpoison handles UTF-8 alright, because if I enter `ratpoison -c windows' under console, all the windows' names are output currently. here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/Ch2QG.png These should be chinese characters, which occupy 3 bytes in UTF-8. Apparently rp doesn't decoded it right because 1 character appear as exactly 3 gibberish byte in :echo. 2. Slow responsiveness in window switching With certain types of application (ie firefox), the "other" command appears either slow in reaction. Sometimes the window requires 1 second to finish rendering. Don't know if this is Firefox's fault or rp's, because this doesn't happen with other stacking WMs, for example, pekwm. -- Li Ian-Xue http://b4283.ath.cx
