Hmmm, I remember having seen such a problem on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD years ago. For some reason the "kill -WINCH" (WINCH = window change) wasn't propagated correctly inside the screen back then. Maybe a "kill -WINCH" on either the SCREEN process or the process running inside the screen helps. Or is this due to a serial terminal which expects the frontend to be fixed at 80x24?
