Hi David,

a simple:

make && make install

should work (as root, or with sudo). It just copies the ratmenu binary in
/usr/bin.

However, there is no auto-generation of menus. You'll have to create the
menu files yourself. You can look in this tarball for some examples:
https://download.salixos.org/x86_64/14.0/source/l/user-settings-ratpoison/user-settings-ratpoison.tar.gz

you can copy the files under the menu-basic or menu-full directory to your
~/.ratmenu directory. You can edit those to your liking. There is also a
.ratpoisonrc in there under the skel directory that shows how to call those
menus. It's basically something like this:

bind r exec ~/.ratmenu/main.sh
