sawfish with tint2

Hi,

I am new to sawfish but I like what I read about it. Especially that
sawfish honours workspace AND viewports :-). But I have some more basic
problems:

a) I am using tint2.. but active windows are quickly overlapping it.
Doesn't matter whether I set tint2 into dock mode or not. Other wms I
tested don't have that problem. What has to be done so that sawfish
would leave tint2 always on top?

b) I running sawfish 1.9.0. And of course I also tried some of the
themes from the wiki.. but maybe sawfish is not stable or a couple of
the themes on the wiki reducing the stability of sawfish? I need
stability as I am looking for a new wm for my daily work laptop.
