I'm pretty sure this is it, and pretty sure this is related to the bug where removing an external monitor causes the same error. As far as I know this was meant to be addressed by commit 8a59c9 "Head hotfix" on the experimental branch, but no one seemed to understand the patch well enough to make a decision about it! Eric
