You know what -- Joram is right. I don't know how I missed it all this time, but the keymapping ability I was looking for already exists in StumpWM, courtesy of 'make-sparse-keymap'. So, let's disregard my whole embarrassing thread. I think I'll work on getting make-sparse-keymap a little more publicity with something for the wiki. -- Edward Trumbo "In Emacs Veritas."
