It seems similar but the proposed solution

| Put the following in ~/.xsession: |
| export GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=3D1   |
+-----------------------------------+

does not work here unfortunately. No keys are received by emacs, but
works as expected in firefox.

Tried in emacs 29.3 and 30.2.
