YES I know that windows 98 is no longer supported. Yes I know our
organization should upgrade to windowsXP,Yes I know that linux is
better.
Ok now that we have gotten all those things out of the way( they
always are responses whenever I mention windows98, but this small
non profit cannot affort the number of licenses for xp or the
machines to replace the ones we have to run it efficently.
I have kixtart logon script so and I can use that to write a file to
a shared directory of their usernames and time they logged onto the
network. What I would like to do is be able to tell when they logged
off. For two reasons
#1. To keep the kids from sharing usernames and passwords. So that
if one kid logged on and the file says he has not logged off yet and
another kid tries to log on with that same user name and password it
the program (autoit or kixtart) would pop up a dialog back on both
their screens saying to not share accounts and then shut down bot
machine and not allow the kid that shared his username and password
to log on any more that day.
#2 Just so I an can compile usage time statistics so I have
something to present to potientail grantors.
Thanks
