Yes, this is possible, There is a program called SiT, which wil do
syntax hilighting for you.

This is going to take some digging in the Windows API, ON windows NT,
when you log in, there are numerous things that happen, includeing
the creation of a token, and things passed back and forth. I'd
recommend you read up on this, and see if you can find the DLL calls
to get what you want out of it.
