ADTMF En/Decoder Re: OT: Engineer's thought

Hi,

I added new screenshot of ADTMFex to describe the DTMF's decoding 
process. 

DTMF based on the following matrix:

      1209Hz 1336Hz 1477Hz 1633Hz
697Hz   1      2      3      A
770Hz   4      5      6      B
852Hz   7      8      9      C
941Hz   *      0      #      D


ADTMFex draws two sets of red lines:
1. First (left) set of lines is 697Hz, 770Hz, 852Hz, 941Hz (from 
left to right).
2. Second (right) set of lines is 1209Hz, 1336Hz, 1477Hz, 1633Hz.

You can see that third line of set 1 and first line of set 2 are 
existed in received signal. ADTMFex calculated digit '7'. 

Signal received has additional bins according to Howard's 
terminology near 330Hz. It is known PBX signal on hung up. 

Now I want to describe my experiment. I has sound card, microphone 
and digital LG phone. Microphone have being hearing phone's signal. 
It was really fact I hang up my digital LG phone and got hangup 
signal (330Hz). Then I pressed 7 and ADTMFex decoded it. The same 
action was done by PBX which stops 330Hz as an answer to 7. But why 
330Hz exists in signal received by PC microphone? 

It was a result of higher speed of ADTMFex in comparing with PBX 
decoder, I think. So ADTMFex has very short reaction time (< 70 ms).

Any ideas?
