Having problem running a sequence of AutoIT calls...

First, I am using Delphi with the AutoItDLL.PAS and make calls to 
AutoItDLL.dll. I run WinActivate then generate a LeftClick. At this 
point sometimes the mouse click works and sometimes it doesn't. When it 
works...life is good but I am not sure why it fails part of the time. 
When it fails my Delphi appl that makes the call hangs. Help please.
