Ah yes, in tcl/win/tclWinChan.c, FILE_TYPE_SERIAL > > detection is explicitly commented out for CE. > > AFAIK it worked in my port, althought there were some strange > things on the Ipaq (like RXOVER being set). > > Try the builds from http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/wince/tcltk-ce.html > > Maybe Jeff can take a look at my tclWinSerial.c from > http://www.wince-devel.org/src/tcl8.4a2-wce-patch-src.tar.gz Indeed Rainer is right, there are some differences. First off, I have to correct the last line of my original comment - that is actually the opposite, that for CE, "com#:" is explicitly set to be of FILE_TYPE_SERIAL. However, the tclWinSerial.c files do differ a bit (can't recall why). I have moved things to a higher base PocketPC version. Rainer was very strict on early compat, whereas the current sources are moving towards PocketPC 2003 (WinCE 4.20) as a baseline (although they likely still work with WinCE 3.0). Each WinCE revision gets more built-in support for traditional Win32 APIs ... but it isn't all there *yet*. Jeff ------------------------ Yahoo!
