Process output in a headless device

Hi all,
   I am using Platform builder to connect to a mips target.Its having a
tiny kernel model and hence the only method I can talk to the target is
through the Window CE shell which appears on the Platform Builder. 
      The problem is that I want to see the output of a process

for example 
        I run the process ping on the WinCE prompt 

Windows CE> s ping 192.168.4.118

Now the ping app is running . Where shall I see the output of this when
the only way I am connected to the target is through the Platform
Builder shell. 
   There should be some facility that for devices which dont have the
display ; one should be able to view the outputs of the processes...
   I am not sure of what to use for this...any pointers in this
direction shall be highly appreciated...
