Study: PPC as Memory Drive

Hi guys,

I would like to do a bit programming to get my PPC noticed as memory drive  
on my windows pc so that I would not need to have active sync installed to  
exchange asome files.
There for I thought of writing some sort of server program accessing the  
USB slave port of the PPC and to simultae then a memory stick. I got the  
idea because of a similar function the Zaurus pdas are equiped with. But I  
do not know even the protocoll with that windows communicates with these  
memory sticks.
Can anyone tell me, if it is even possible to access the USB slave port of  
the ppc and to take control over it?
