Well, I think the only way is to look for 3rd party SDKs. But you'll have to
pay for them (if you find anyone free, please tell me :) ), or use demo
versions (some of them are fully functional, just a small popup annoying
you).
Just a quick reply for not leaving you stuck. I'll try to find again the
names and links for the SDKs I was using, with the examples for what you
want.

The device doesnt run on Java

If Java is not a problem (for you or for the device - if it is MIDP 2.0
compliant, at least here you shouldn't have a problem), you should try
