RE: disk on key and winCe version 3.01

I can not tell you for certain, but I can speak for myself. I was running a
Windows CE 3.x system, and could not use my Disk on Key, the real one, from
Disk on Key. Once I changed to a CE 4.x board, everything worked like a
charm. If you can upgrade, go for it. In my case it was an embedded board,
so it was easy. In the handheld case, you might be out of luck. But, for
sure, Windows CE 3.x does not have the mass storage driver that is required.

  I have a general question about "disk on key". I have bought 
recently an disk on key or memory disk and it isn't recognize by my 
personal assistant a easymate 800 H/PC personal assistant from 
packard bell with WinCe version 3.01 (and a mips 4000 processor)and a 
usb port. Normally it is for a mouse and in the windows Ce you have 
the driver. But there are no other drivers installed in windows Ce 
3.01.
  When I go to the site of the key manufacturer, he doesn't have a 
driver for such a windows Ce (only for windows Ce 4.0). So I would 
like to know if it is possible to see the contents of my usb key on 
my personal assistant and what i should do in order to see it if it 
is possible ? Do you know if a driver for windows Ce 4.0 will works 
with windows Ce 3.01 ?
