Compiling on device

Hi,

Is there a way "on device" to compile and link the source code available on Rainer's website? I seached a bit among the posts in the group, but could not find an answer.

If I understand correctly, GNUWINCE might be the answer, but I am not sure how to use the UNIX-like OS commands (like rlogind). (At least two others asked the same question, but got no replies, as far as I see.)

I have been using pgcc for a while now, the version ported by Vitaliy, and not the more recent one from Mamaich. (I wrote my own version of namespace std to account for some of the differences.) Anyhow, I think that both of those ports should be compatible with eVC to some extent. Has anyone tried to use this at all? Could it be used with celib.dll?

I am asking these naive questions, because my desktop is quite old and I cannot use eVC 4 with win98. :( I really would like to port a few things myself. At the moment, I have a very modest aim: Being able to add mod_expires module to appacheCE.

Any input is appreciated. If there is no easy way to do these on device, could someone add mod_expires to AppacheCE on my behalf on their desktops?

Thanks so much in advance.
