Configuring stunnel for CE on a MobilePro 900c

Hi, all - new to the group and decidedly out of my league. Please
forgive my ignorance, but I could use your help.

I have a MobilePro 900c running CE.net 4.1. The included e-mail app
doesn't support SSL, nor does nPop (though I'm told someone is working
on it.) I've been pointed to Stunnel as a work around for accessing my
gmail account, and found rainer-keuchel's CE port. In the read me, it
says to set my "UNIXROOTDIR" and "COLS/ROWS" in my environment.

I don't know how to do this.

Currently, when I run stunnel, I get the alert "Warning: UNIXROOTDIR
not set." Clicking OK opens a message saying "Cannot open /etc/
services" Clicking OK again causes stunnel to close.

Any help offered is appreciated.
