reg setup for rsync & wince?

Hi,
On running s_rsync.exe I get the following error message window:

Message
Config file
\UNIXROOTDIR/etc/rsyncd.
conf is missing

As this file is there and slashes seem to be an area of confusion; and 
setting up the Registry from the example "jornada720.reg" was a little 
difficult (being a linguistically challenged Anglophile and it not 
having the same syntax as 
<http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/wince/registry.html>) I figure I've got 
some path syntax wrong in the HKLM\Environment Key Reg entry?

For instance:
-Should TMPDIR be writen as "\UNIXROOTDIR\tmp", "/tmp" or "\\tmp";
-Should TERMCAP be writen as "/UNIXROOTDIR/etc/termcap", "/etc/termcap", 
or "\UNIXROOTDIR\etc\termcap"

I run linux on my desktop, so I'm unable to make use of "cereg.exe"; as 
soon as I tried Powertoys regedit I remembered why I use linux on my 
desktop; so, I found this rather rough but very usable free RegEditCe 
from Nicoteam: <http://nsolan.free.fr/About.RegEditCe.v1.htm> (worthy of 
recommendation).

Any help would be very much appreciated.
