Sure SOAP is a protocol - this is somewhat better explained in SOAP 1.2 =
than in SOAP 1.1 - you might want to check out the SOAP 1.2 drafts that =
you can find at [3]. Note that in SOAP, common features like routing, =
security, etc. are supported as extensions rather than baked into the =
core protocol.
