Off topic but if you told me you gave this advice to all your clients I wouldn't listen either. I would much prefer a discussion about my context. The advice you give is ok in some contexts and terrible in others. In particular I would say it's geared towards relatively naive integration scenarios ... This would fail miserably with more complex scenarios.
