Re: Running solaris or linux executables on windows

Virtual PC (free from MS) allows you to actually run more than one OS on
the same computer with- get this, shared files/system. VMware does a
better job at a cost so the selection here might be based on cost vs how
long this needs to work. I've used VirtualPC on XP and ran Red Hat
Enterprise 4 for a year or two with no problems. Currently have a
dedicated machine for CentOS. Note you can even run Solaris in this
environment as a third OS, not sure about file and file system sharing
with Solaris. Note my lack of knowledge regarding Solaris should not be
taken to mean it can or can't very easily be done.

In your situation this is what I would look hard at doing.
