windows-less console app visual progress indicator

I have a very small windows-less console app that runs very quickly
and doesn't require user interaction. What would be a simple,
non-intrusive visual indicator that the job has run and completed. I
want something that will let them know it's done for a second or two
and then go away. I don't want the user to need to dismiss a dialog
box.
