I am trying to create a few user controls in Net 2005 (in the same project). What I would like to do is create one 'base' component - that is a combination of some existing controls - and then some additional components for certain situations that use the base component. Even though I'd like to do this in the same project, I am thinking that it might not be a good idea (that is, to create a usercontrol 'basecontrol' and then other usercontrols 'basevariation1', 'basevariation2', etc., that actually have 'basecontrol' situated on them. So, is this a bad idea or not, please (and the biggest reason I ask is that once I try to do this and even screw up the slightest thing in the project, the project seems to continue to give errors from which I can't recover)?
