Peter, Yes, it is very hard to weed out useful info about Regualr Expressions from the web. I gave up and went out and bought a book. If you are interested in more than just a quick answer, here is a link to the book I use, which has had an answer for everything I have needed to do so far: http://regex.info/ Bill Fellows [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: Discussion relating to the specifics of the C# and Managed C++ languages [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Peter Osucha Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 10:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [DOTNET-CX] Regular expression Hopefully, this list is appropriate. =20 Any recommendations on good Regular Expressions sites to visit to get a better feel for using regular expressions? Searches produce a ridiculous number of results. =20 I have been trying to come up with a concise way to name a copy of an item in what imagine Windows does when you copy a file in windows explorer and then paste it in the same directory (first copy is 'copy of myFile.txt', second copy is 'copy (2) of myFile.txt', etc.) and I could probably do better. =20 Peter =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This list is hosted by DevelopMentor(r) http://www.develop.com View archives and manage your subscription(s) at http://discuss.develop.com =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This list is hosted by DevelopMentor=AE http://www.develop.com View archives and manage your subscription(s) at http://discuss.develop.com
