After much hunting around for information, I finally gave up and asked about this a while back. Basically, there's no support for custom image formats in the current version of the framework (or is it the current version of GDI+? I forget :). Whichever one it was, MS are considering it for a later release. Sorry... Hi all, I want to extend the .NET Image classes to work with some different image formats (JBIG, JPEG2000). The documentation says the "Encoder and Decoder classes enable users to extend GDI+ to support any image format." First of all there isn't a Decoder class that I could fine. Second the Encoder class documentation doesn't really tell you what you need to do to add support for new image formats. I would really like to implement these image formats in a way that works the same as the built in formats do so using these formats would appear seamless. Any ideas on what I need to do this would be appreciated.
