There is no FAQ at that site [1]

Ted Neward wrote:Actually, as a member of the list, I sympathize, but as a book author as
well, I'd like to offer a slightly different spin on things; I can't claim
this is everybody's motivation, but it certainly is mine:
I want to be helpful and answer the question, but I already answered the
question once (in the book), and while I want to be helpful and answer it
again, the thought of typing all that stuff in again just seems
overwhelming. So it's easier for me to point to chapter such-and-such, and
say "Look there". I don't really care if you BUY the silly thing; in some
cases, I've outright told people to just go to the bookstore, read the
chapter, and put the book back on the shelf, since I didn't think they
needed any of the rest of it.
I grant, it's annoying sometimes, but often it's not intended to be any more
of an advertisement than the equivalent of "Check out item 17 in the FAQ at
http://www.somehost.com".... Why did somehost.com decide to host the FAQ?
Because it brings people to their site.... :-)
Just my $.02 worth.

it's in my book on page such and such. If you don't want to answer the
question, then fine, don't.
