I had the same problem and looked for a solution for days. Here is what I finally did to change the account from LocalSystem to user: - Install NT4 Resource Kit - Run the following command: SC.EXE config <ServiceName> OBJ= <Domain>\<User> PASSWORD= <Password> TYPE= OWN (spaces after "=" are important) Hope that helps... Unfortunately I'm running NT 4 (yep technology leaders here) and It seems that after the install I'm unable to modify the account info from the service manager? The only way I have been able to get around this issue was to set the installer to install using the LocalSystem account, and then change to a specific user using the Service Manager MMC console. This was an acknowledged bug during the beta phase, and it looks like the bug still exists in the RTM.
