"Hire American Only" philosophy is a bad one

Its applicability to "buy American" is the same as "hire American". You
should be hiring the best talent for fair money. Why do you feel that lesser
qualified or more expensive people is a better deal for a company?

Pretend for a moment that someone universally regarded as valuable to the
development world (say, Chris Sells or Don Box or whoever) was Canadian.
Would you forego hiring a Canadian all-star to hire a less capable American?
