We're looking for a very strong .NET developer to assist in a testing
project.=20

Mandatory Experience:=20
1) ASP .Net=20
2) ADO .Net
3) Microsoft SQL Server 2000
4) Oracle 8i server
5) Microsoft Visual Studio .Net
6) Load testing for web applications
7) Ability to analyze application, network & database bottlenecks
and propose solutions
8) Expert with a load testing tool such as Empirix or Parasoft=92s

Optional Experience:
1) Application tools to determine the application bottlenecks.
Tools such as Compuware=92s DevPartner or Identify=92s software Blackbox
(Identify was formerly known as Mutek).=20
2) Database tools to determine the database bottlenecks.

This will be a 2-3 week project on site in Columbus, OH. You will be
expected to provide your own airfare, room and board so load the rate
accordingly.

The client has a number of applications running on Windows 2000 Server.
Some of these applications are classic ASP, while others are true .NET
applications. The Application Server connects to both Microsoft SQL
Server 2000 and Oracle 8i Database Servers.

This client is experiencing some odd server behavior in the wake of
deploying a new .Net application to their production environment. The
client wants to engage in a series of load tests designed to determine
the root cause of the behavior. The root cause may be within one of the
applications, the connection between the application and database
server, and/or may reside in the configuration of their network. The
customer will provide Production like servers to Platform Lab which will
contain the application and databases source. Platform Lab will
configure the network to simulate the customer=92s network as closely as
possible.

The Consultant will be responsible for the following items:=20
=D8 Review the setup of the Hardware configuration with Platform =
Lab
and client=20
=D8 Review the setup between the Application Server and the =
Database
Server with Platform Lab and client
=D8 Assist the client staff in becoming familiar with the testing
tool
=D8 Assist the client staff in test script creation and execution =
of
the load tests
=D8 Monitoring the test environment while client resources drive =
the
load tests
=D8 Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data gathered during =
these
tests
=D8 The consultant will be responsible for delivering the final
report with recommendations
=D8 Provide technology transfer on an as needed basis to the =
client
if time permits.

The customer=92s data is highly confidential and shall remain the =
property
of the customer. A confidentiality agreement must be signed by the
Consultant prior to commencing this work for this project.
