The Portland Web Services DevCon in March was so well-received (as shown
in the reviews [1]) that we've decided to run it again October 10-11 in
the Boston area. I know I've inquired of some of you of your interest
before, but now that we've got the dates nailed down, I want to confirm
those speakers that would like to speak again as well as open up the
call for speakers to a wider audience. If you're interested in giving
one or more 75 minute talks, please send me titles and abstracts ASAP
(even if you've already expressed interest before).

New topics are encouraged, but I expect a completely different audience,
so we plan on running some of the same talks again. I'd like to get the
bulk of the abstracts by the middle of next week, if possible. Also, if
you know of someone that you think might be interested in giving a talk
or are a member of an online community where folks might be interested,
e.g. the SOAPBuilder's list, please forward along this announcement.

Also, I know some of you have expressed interest in sponsoring.
Microsoft is an official sponsor already and we're working with several
more potentials. If you'd like to be a sponsor, let us know.

Finally, we're working to coordinate the Fall SOAPBuilder's meeting,
which is to be hosted by Sun in the Boston area (and the hotel we picked
is 10 minutes from Sun for that reason), so that they both happen in the
same week. If anyone from the SOAPBuilder's community wants to give a
talk at the DevCon on the results of that meeting, I've got a slot
reserved for that talk.
