If you used what was in .NET then it will have been V8.5 (for .NET) and
definitely won't be version 9 which is where the problem is. Version 9 was
only released a few weeks ago. We have hundreds of CR reports and a system
going live in 4 weeks so unfortunately we are stuck with them.

We've deployed Windows Forms apps with crystal, but we used what came in
.NET. I'm just curious what you needed that wasn't packaged with the
.NET version of Crystal. Active Reports still seems to have the better
product. Even if they're late to having a .NET native component. COM
Interop has worked well to continue to use their pre .net version.

This is a warning to anyone considering purchasing or upgrading to CR9.
Although the product can be purchased and proclaims .NET compatibility
for
the report designer, It cannot as yet be used to deploy reports. Our
company
spent 2 or 3 wasted days trying to get our deployed application
(winforms)
to display and print reports on client machines, but it would not.
Following
a couple of calls to the Crystal Care support guys, I was informed that
the
CR9 .Net MSM's (merge modules) are not ready yet and haven't been
released.
They alledge that the release date is Sept 16th. No mention of this is
made
anywhere on their website that I can find as yet.
