We have just released 1.4 BETA of Autonomy.NET. Autonomy.NET is a Windows service application designed to facilitate continuous integration. Autonomy.NET monitors your source code repository, automatically rebuilds your project when changes are detected and then emails you the build result along with a list of changes since the last build. Autonomy.NET is completely free and includes source released under a BSD-style licence. Please read the licence included with the distribution for more information. This BETA release can be downloaded from: http://www.chive.com/products/autonomy/autonomy-server-1.4.msi http://www.chive.com/products/autonomy/autonomy-client-1.4.msi The major changes are: - Support for Visual SourceSafe repositories. - Support for Visual Studio builds. - Support for CVS branches. The VSS support is the main reason why this version is being first released as a BETA. We don't user VSS in production, and therefore are not convinced the VSS support is fully functional. It would be great to get some real world feedback on this feature. To accommodate these new features, the format of the configuration file has changed. - <name> is now required on all builds - CVS options should be grouped under a <cvs> element. - NAnt options should be grouped under a <nant> element. See the included chm file for more information. Note: We are still trying to get the MSI installer to install over a 1.3 installation properly. For the moment please follow these steps to install. - Backup your existing config.xml and keep in a safe place. - Uninstall Autonomy.NET using the control panel. - Delete or rename the Autonomy.NET installation directory. - Reboot. - Install 1.4 using the MSI installer. - Configure the supplied config.xml file using your old config.xml as a guide. - Start the Autonomy.NET service. Please use the autonomy-users mailing list for support issues. To subscribe, send a blank email to [email protected]. The archive can be browsed here http://list.chive.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=autonomy-users. We hope you find Autonomy.NET useful! Kind regards -- Mark Griffiths Chive Software
