The one way I know of automating a command-line program is to use System.Diagnostics.Process & it's cohorts (especially ProcessStartInfo--that's your API for specifying arguments). We have Surround SCM as a source control. I need to access the source control through web application code, to check out and check in specific files. The only help I have is Surround SCM manual, where use of CLI (command line interface) is mentioned, to access files in Surround SCM. I don't know how to use command line from my web application. Other alternative I was thinking of was, if I had API's to access Surround SCM then I can check in, check out files from web application code; but unfortunately I don't have API's to use, so I have to rely on using CLI from web application. I don't know how to do this.
