The client needs either XP Sp2 with .Net 3.0 installed or Vista (.Net 3.0 is already installed). Also, a reasonable graphics card helps though not a requirement as such. A graphics card which supports ShaderModel 2 will hardware accelerate WPF. Graphics cards which don't support Shader Model 2 still work but it is best to avoid too much fancy 3D stuff. My WPF app works reasonably well on an old Dell laptop with a GeForce 2 mobile chip and a 1GHz Intel P3.
