Calling either alert or wizard.alert should do the trick (I forget the
object model, but it's doc'd).

Only via a COM object that provides them to you. Probably the shell
object from the scripting object library provided with WSH would do the
trick.

Anything you can get running in JS or VBS should work just fine in
Gen<X>.
