Yes.

Its called the HotspotVM from Sun  and has been for many years now 8)

There are  numerous tuning parameters on the Hotspot VM inlcuding eden
space, compile
threshold, and so on.  Id search sun.com for articles on tuning
hotspot.  I know there have been
a number.
