Java Libraries and IP v6

I am looking at converting a large application that runs on the IP v4 network to IP v6, anticipating some time in the future when the internal network converts to IP v6. The application has pieces written in C and pieces written in Java, with more and more in Java every day. It appears that the Java portions won't have to change very much. There are guis that ask for an IP address and search a data base. That would be trivial. The Is there a guide for doing this, so I have a ghost of an idea how to plan the conversion process?
