Great, I wasn't aware of that, but it was pretty easy to find in the FAQ
for Xalan, so I have added a "log.version" property to the
config.properties file, that when enabled prints this Xalan information
together with all the System-properties starting with "java" and the
"user.dir" (working dir).

I have disabled the property by default, as it gives pretty verbose output.

Patrick, if you read this and still havent solved the problem, would you
mind checking out the latest CVS-release (as described here:
http://jawinproject.sourceforge.net/jawindeveloper.html ) and then try
to enable this property and post the output to the mailing list, so we
could debug on your specific environment problems.

Wow, I am almost embarrassed of how lazy I am compared with that :-) - I
guess the danish politicians may be right in that us danes are by now a
pretty spoiled people, that doesn't work hard enough for the society to
persist (or perhaps it is just easier for them to get in the newspapers,
when they are presenting negative news about the future?).
