First off, thanks much for the quick responses to my original posting.
Well, it was the space. One single freakin' space! I did what Morten
suggested and moved my JAWIN folder, as well as my .tlb file, to a non-
space folder (i.e., out of "program files") -- everything worked! Again,
thanks.

In case this may help someone in the future, here is my system info:

1. WinXP (Home Ed.)

2. "java -version" at cmd prmpt yields (from download j2sdk1.4.2_05):

java version "1.4.2_03"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_03-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_03-b02, mixed mode)

3. jawin-1.0.19 (downloaded within 2 weeks of 7/25/04).
